I always wanted to visit this place more than any freedom movement places, I read a lot about this in school. when i visited felt like crying, so many innocent people brutally massacred. one thing which i didn't like is the monument and the way it has been maintained, the well has been covered in such a fashion you won't... 更多
Visit to this place, takes you in the History, and makes you realise the sacrifices given for our freedom, which needs to be Saluted by one and all
If you remember history very well then you can imagine what would have happened on that day. First place I have visited which makes you feel connected to history and which makes you feel how things were before 1947. It is very near to Golden temple, just walking distance. You can cover both in one day.
It's basically a garden. It's near to Golden temple to it's ok.It's basically a garden. It's near to Golden temple to it's ok.It's basically a garden. This place is of special importance in India's struggle for independence. But the whole garden complex is poorly maintained with the locals using it as a park and garbage being thrown all around. This place could do well with a government sponsored uplift. Also it is very close to the Golden Temple complex
This place is 2 min away from Golden Temple. After entry inside you can see Amar Jyoti on right side. On left side you can see the well where so many people jumped in it to save life from firing of British soldiers. Well is now well covered. There is one wall where you can see bullet marks. There are... 更多
This place is one of the worst executions by the British. History pages becomes live once one gets in here. Notorious well, bullet hit walls are all there - take back to that black day.
This quiet park, scene of the Amritsar massacre, is full of shame for British visitors. The cruelty shown to the innocent demonstrators who were victims of the colonial army will not be forgotten. Churchill's words which can be read on the wall of the museum put it perfectly. If you are in Amritsar, please find time to visit this historic... 更多
Don't expect much there. The place is mainly of historical importance. The well where people had jumped is now filled and has very low depth. There is a garden and monument dedicated to martyrs
Brought tears to my eyes to see that so many innocent people were killed for no reason. I'm glad that we visited this place. Can't say much. Its a "MUST VISIT".
